Winechat was a social media-oriented concept we came up with for WineChannelTV. The founder Jess Altieri interviewed a guest each week in a one-hour, unprecedented Twitter chat mixed with live video interview showing both Jess and the guest using a split screen. We’d never seen that done before, and video is still not mixed with Twitter chats often though we think this is a missing opportunity for brands, authors, athletes, celebrities and anyone with an audience that wants to engage with them on a regular basis.
Winechat was conducted using our Intefy platform, the Wetoku video platform, Twitter and posted afterward in Facebook notes. We found that the videos were viewed many times following the actual one-hour chat period. Ideally, the video could be used on both the guest and the interviewer’s primary sites to further views, but many of these happened at the Wetoku platform or because of the Facebook link.
