Yummie Tummie, maker of cute and sexy clothing for women, wanted a fresh new look for their social networks for Spring/Summer 2010, so we reskinned Twitter, Facebook, created a custom Facebook tab, updated their YouTube channel and created a new email newsletter design template.
One of the issues YT faced was attracting a younger audience to the brand. We introduced some graphic elements that appeal to younger girls and even changed some of the terminology (replacing “women” with girls” in certain instances.) Little things can mean the difference between a brand appealing to different types of audiences, so the use of flowers, butterflies and animal textures in addition to adjusting the terminology gives this brand a more youthful feel on these social networks, while not conflicting with the website and ecommerce store’s design.
